Watering Your Lawn

***We are currently in stage 3 watering restrictions. This means you can only water your lawn 1 day per week April- October. We recommend that you cycle your system 3 times on your watering day between 12am and 5am for 15 minutes per station. You can also water in the evening after 8pm if you do not have St Augustine grass. 30-45 minutes of water on your set watering day will keep your lawn green and healthy through the summer months.***

A healthy green lawn requires proper watering. Generally your lawn needs 1-2 inches of water per week depending on the season. Below is the watering schedule we recommend for our customers.

January

Water 1-4 times per month during dry periods by turning your irrigation system on manually. You do not want your timer to be set because it could water during freezing temperatures. If there is consistent rain no watering is needed.

Notes

April – October are the most important months for watering. If you see dry areas try increasing the amount of water that those areas get. This recommended watering schedule could very each month depending on temperatures. If temperatures are hotter than average with less than average rain fall you will want to water more often. If temperatures are cooler than average with higher than normal rain fall you can water less.
